Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant - Waterbury: Authentic Chinese Cuisine in Waterbury, CT

I was a little taken back after reading the reviews. I ordered via door dash and the food was pretty decent. Grab Rangoon was good, general tsaos had a nice crunch and the sauce was good. I did notice however sometimes it did taste burnt. I noticed another post about the burnt taste it was horrible but threw it off a bit. Thinking they let the sauce sit and bubble too long and it got burnt to the pan. Overall my meal was pretty good for delivery Chinese in the area.

Ordered DoorDash, thinking I ordered from Hong Kong Kitchen in Southington—when I placed my order here accidentally. Everything was great! We all shared crab rangoons, teriyaki beef sticks, and general Tso chicken. Honestly only complaint is that there was hardly any filling inside the crab Rangoon.

Had the spare tips and pork fried rice. I thought it was delicious, the portions were good, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the the egg roll was super oily but hay it's greasy Chinese food rite. Sweet tea with lemon was pretty good too and customer service was decent too.

Visiting the area I looked at various restaurants. Same menu, much higher prices at other Chinese restaurants caused me to pause. No need. This food was less money AND DELICIOUS. People are lovely and friendly. Locals were in and out as I waited for my order and all raved about their food choices.

I have been dealing this restaurant for the last 5 years and the consistency and the efficiency has been top notch! The staff works hard at assisting all customers as best as they can and in my case I have the best wishes for the staff ! HONG KONG CHINESE RESTAURANT is my go to restaurant!

I’m not big on Chinese food nomore like I used to be I eat it every once in a while. This spot got some good food haven’t let me down yet my go too is chicken wings pork fried rice

I've tried many places in and around the valley this is so far my favorite. If you're a fan of takeout Chinese food with eggrolls with some grease this is the spot, if the eggroll got no grease I don't want it. I typically order wonton soup, house lo mein, fried dumplings, eggrolls and spear ribs all of the above pass the fatass test, also relatively better priced than most takeout spots, they've had me as a customer weekly for the past few. Sometimes they got what im assuming is one of their kids helping with the register, they clearly don't give a shit about being there but I'm able to look past it so don't let it throw you off, i go to takeout spots for the food not the customer service. However, the lady who usually works the register is awesome every time I go in whether shes working the register or not she's busting her ass getting things done clearly a hard worker and someone who cares so if she's handling your order don't worry it's gonna be delicious and correct.
